Mertasari Beach is a beautiful white sand beach located in the southern part of Sanur Village, stretching from Matahari Terbit with stunning panorama to the Indian Ocean. For its peaceful atmosphere and calm seawater, this beach is ideal for a long walk or a relaxing swim. Catch fishermen park their colorful 'jukung' (traditional fishing boats) before setting to sail. On March, you can also take part in the Mertasari Beach Festival that has free yoga classes, local market, Balinese dance lesson, and live stage among the activities. It is also a good spot to see the Ogoh-Ogoh parade the evening before the Nyepi ceremony, or to catch the Kite Festival happening in August.
